Easy to get to by car, good breakfast, reasonable evening meal, friendly staff giving good service.
It would be good if tea/coffee could be made in the room.

Close to ring road which allowed for easy access to other tourist locations. Very well organised staff, and easy to deal with on any matter. Quiet hotel even though a couple of coach parties passed through. Within easy walking distance of central Caen (allow 25-30 minutes)
Not a complaint! Ground floor rooms felt a bit exposed as people could look in. Blinds would have been better than curtains.

We used the Crocus as a night stop before catching the ferry back to Poole. We had driven from the Alps and arrived at 11.15pm - the hotel was still open but we had called earlier and the receptionist had given us instructions as to where our room was in case he had closed but in fact he was still there. The room was exactly that and the bathroom minute but everything was very adequate and the bed comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was a feast and for eu7 each extremely good value.

The hotel is very good value for money, better than I had expected .The room was clean, the food was good and the staff were helpful and pollite. It is in a good location for exploring the d Day attractions which is why I stayed there with my son. When full the carpark is a bit tight but not a real issue.Being on the outskirts of Caen nowhere to go for a walk really in the evening.Good access to supermarkets and fuel just down the road.
The tv didn't seem to have a uk news channel.

Dinner was of a high standard. Location excellent. parking wqs just about sufficient.
Breakfast could do with a lot of work. it seemed that fruit salad, cold meat and cheese was almost rationed at times so i stopped having breakfast in the hotel as it was not worth 7euros. A cooked breakfast would have been a real winner, especially for those touring Normandy all day.Range of draft lager was appalling to be frank, as in two. They had bottled beers but they were not reasonably priced but then, neither is much in France at the moment it seems. Its the continet so I expected a quilt. the blanket/sheet arrangement is a thing of the past or so I though.Spare pillows in the room would be an expectation.
